The Buffalo Sabres have acquired centreman Ryan McLeod from the Edmonton Oilers.

Ryan McLeod is no longer a member of the Edmonton Oilers, as he has been traded to the Buffalo Sabres.

McLeod played in 81 games for the Edmonton Oilers last season, notching 12 goals and 18 assists. He also scored 4 goals for Edmonton in their recent playoff run where they got knocked out in 7 games by the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup finals.
The Oilers gave up a lot of speed in McLeod, who is rated one of the fastest players in the NHL.

It seems as though Matt Savoie is heading the Oilers way in return. The Oilers have also included Ty Tullio in their deal to Buffalo.
