This Edmonton Oilers Rival has just placed one of their top scorers on the trade block as they continue to offload assets this season.

Calgary Flames Place Lindholm on Trade Block

The Calgary Flames are becoming the Leagues shopping store, as they continue to offload their assets in a move to reshape their long-term future. They have been reported to be shopping defensemen Noah Hanifin and Chris Tanev, and have already traded Nikita Zadorov.

Now, they are reportedly shopping star centreman Elias Lindholm, per Pierre LeBrun.

[LeBrun] explicitly names three squads as likely landing spots – the Bruins, Avalanche and Hurricanes – with the Bruins confirmed to "have some level of interest" based on his reporting.

Lindholm is having a slower year this year, with just 8 goals and 15 assists through 30 games.

Flames Are Looking Long Term Under New GM

With new GM Craig Conroy taking over this past summer for the Flames after Brad Treliving left, the Flames are appearing to look long-term for success. Even though they sit in the middle of the standings, they are clearly looking to shape their roster for long-term success.
