NHL fans will know who to blame if things get controversial in tonight's Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers at Rogers Place.

It'll be Jean Hebert and Chris Rooney wearing the stripes. The pair who officiated Game 2, will be on the ice again for the fourth time in these Stanley Cup Playoffs. It's important to note that referees receive ratings from supervisors after each game and only the best advance as the season continues.
Refs for @FlaPanthers @EdmontonOilers are Jean Hebert (#15) and Chris Rooney (#5). Tonight's officials: scoutingtherefs.com/2024/06/45634/

The Oilers have had a 3-3 record with Hebert's calls and a 4-2 record with Rooney's, while the Panthers are 3-2 with Hebert and 2-3 with Rooney.
Rooney is no stranger to Stanley Cup Final games as this is his 7th one. He even called last year's clincher when the Vegas Golden Knights won it all.
Here are the four referees making the calls when the #StanleyCup Final starts tomorrow:
🦓 Jean Hebert 🇨🇦 2nd Cup Final
🦓 Steve Kozari 🇨🇦 5th Cup Final
🦓 Dan O'Rourke 🇨🇦 7th Cup Final
🦓 Chris Rooney 🇺🇸 7th Cup Final
If the Panthers win and clinch their first-ever Stanley Cup, Rooney could be in the spotlight once again. Yet, It's also crucial that linesmen Devin Berg and Ryan Daisy keep their eyes sharp and their skates steady. Each call or missed infraction, could be fatal in deciding tonight's outcome.
