As the Western Conference Finals get closer to an end, Edmonton Edmonton Oilers forward Corey Perry is on the verge of NHL history in becoming the first to play in the Stanley Cup Finals with five different teams.
Corey Perry has had a long and impressive career in the NHL. After 19 years with six different teams, he has found himself with the Edmonton Oilers, having signed a one-year contract with them in January.
Well into the playoffs with the Oilers, Corey Perry is close to making NHL history. If the tram wins either of their next two games against the Dallas Stars, Perry would become the first player to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals with five different teams. This includes the Anaheim Ducks, the Dallas Stars, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Dallas and Edmonton are currently in the first intermission, with the Oilers leading 2-0 after Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman scored a powerplay goal each. With how the game is going, Perry may not have to wait very long to hear his fate.
