NHL referees routinely come under a lot of flak. It's easy to blame the refs when the team you want to win isn't doing well, especially when tensions are higher than usual in the Stanley Cup Finals and when you consider that it's practically impossible to prove whether or not a certain referee has a certain bias towards one team or the other.

In the case of Thursday night's finals game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers though, there are strong theories to support that the game was rigged in Florida's favour.
Fans have justifiably called out veteran NHL referee Dan O'Rourke for rigging the playoff games involving the Panthers.
As you can see in the above tweet, the Panthers have a near flawless record when playing in games that are officiated by O'Rourke.
Statistics are facts, and while this could just be a coincidence, being that the Panthers have been playing very well, there is also a strong case to make over whether the outcome of these matches are rigged, especially when you look at the Panthers seemingly fantastic track record when playing games involving O'Rourke.
