Gary Bettman and the NHL locked down Fanatics as their apparel partner for the next decade, and after fan uproar, the quality issue is already an issue.
From the moment the NHL announced Fanatics as their newest jersey partner over Adidas, the fans were absolutely devastated, as they have become known for poor quality and even worse customer service in recent years. Still, the league went through with it against all advice, and are now locked in with Fanatics for the next decade, a move that has turned many a fan away from potentially purchasing a new jersey.
Their quality has already come to the fore before training camp even begins, with a recent photo of Matty Beniers circulating, showing a massive rip in his jersey on the ice.
However, the deal is done and the league will now need to stick by their decision, but the moment this starts happening in games is when it will become a major issue for the league and other sponsors, so fingers crossed Fanatics can rise to the occasion and become good for the league.
