Cherry has announced on X that Scott Page, the first captain of the Mississauga Ice Dogs, has sadly passed away at the age of 44.

Was so sad to hear the passing of Scott Page, the first captain of the Mississauga IceDogs. He was a tough as they come and a great leader. Godspeed Scott.
Despite his impressive legacy in the OHL, Page did not make it to the NHL and remained in the Canadian university system before a brief season with the Adirondack Frostbite in the UHL.
We send our condolences to anyone afftedcted by that tragic loss.
