A mock trade has emerged that sends Logan Mailloux to a new franchise in Canada.
Mailloux's Controversial History
Logan Mailloux is one of the most polarizing prospects in all of hockey for the wrong reasons. On one hand, he is a phenomenal right-shot offensive defenseman who put up 53 points in 59 OHL games last year. On the other, he was charged in Sweden with S**ual assault in Sweden.
While his talents on the ice and well known, many question if he will be able to make the NHL due to his troubling past.
Recently a mock trade has emerged that sends Mailloux and more to Winnipeg
Montreal Acquires: 2024 2nd round pick (MTL)
Winnipeg Acquires: Logan Mailloux Mike Hoffman (50% retained)
This trade is big for both sides. On one hand, Montreal reacquires their 2nd round pick which is essential if they want to offer sheet anybody.
Winnipeg would be acquiring Mike Hoffman who is a more than capable goal scorer as well as Mailloux who could develop into a top-line blueliner if he continues at a strong pace.
