Mark Scheifele might be thinking of buying himself a lottery ticket after he and Connor Bedard got tangled up during the Jets-Blackhawks game last night, as he luckily avoided a potentially scary accident.
During the play, Scheifele and Bedard get tangled up on the boards as Bedard tries to get by. Bedard is tripped up, and his skate comes up, just inches from hitting Scheifele's neck.
Connor Bedard had the last laugh in overtime against Scheifele and the Jets, too, as he potted the overtime winner with Scheifele skating behind him.
Clearly, Bedard has a future in the NHL, and luckily, Mark Scheifele still does too after avoiding what could have been a tragic incident.
