Major Rumor Confirmed Regarding Winnipeg Jets Goaltender Laurent Brossoit

The Winnipeg Jets have surprisingly been one of the best teams in the NHL this season. Now one rumor surrounding the team has been put to rest.

Winnipeg Jets Have No Interest In Trading Backup Goaltender

Jets reporter Scott Billeck reported today that the team will not be trading backup goaltender Lauren Brossoit. Some believed that the the goaltender could be moved this season as the team looks to go on an extended playoff run.




Brossoit has played exceptionally well for the Jets this season. In 12 games this season he has a 7-3-2 record along with a 2.07 goals-against-average and a .926 save percentage. He has been particularly good in recent starts.



The Jets have fallen to 3rd in the central division with their 30-12-5 record. However, they still have multiple games in hand on the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche who lead the division. Stay tuned to see if the Jets can climb back to the top of the division this season.
