Winnipeg Jets top prospect Rutger McGroarty suffered a scary injury the other night while playing for the University of Michigan. Today he sent a heartfelt message to fans concerned about his well-being.

In a recent game Jets' prospect Rutger McGroaty suffered a scary injury after a collision that sent him flying into the boards.





McGroarty was then stretchered off the ice and taken to the hospital for further evaluation.



After a couple of days and not many updates one has finally been provided. The update comes from McGroarty himself.

After the hit people throughout the hockey community were concerned for McGroarty. Not only is he a great player but most people who have interacted with the young star say he is a great person as well. With so many people invested in the health and well-being of Rutger, he came out with a statement.



McGroarty in a time of immense struggle for himself took the time to thank others for reaching out to him. It seems as though Rutger remains in the hospital but looks to be in good spirits considering the circumstances.
