Canucks Looking to Trade Interesting Forward

A recent report suggests that the Vancouver Canucks have been trying to trade Conor Garland for a while.

However, teams haven't shown any interest for one good reason: his salary.

The 27-year-old has three years left on his $4.95M AAV contract.

Here's what Rick Dhaliwal reported:

"Teams think that Garland's a $3 million player, not $5 million. That's why the Canucks have not been able to move him for over a year."

New Teams Interested in Garland

Dhaliwal also revealed that two teams are interested in the Canucks' forward, including the Winnipeg Jets!

"What I'm hearing is, [$1.5 million], if the Canucks can get to that number, it's going to be a little bit easier to move Garland. There are teams interested. I'm hearing Nashville, someone told me Winnipeg, and others as well."

To facilitate the trade, the Canucks gave permission to Garland's agent to talk with other teams.

Do you think he'll be traded this season?
