With consistent below par performances from Mitch Marner, many have taken to social Media to speculate potential trades.

Mitch Marner has been in the hot seat recently due to underperformances in the playoffs over the past few seasons. With fans being upset, this has given some people on X to give their opinions on where Marner should end up by next season.
Nick Alberga took to X with this proposal,

"Marner (with an extension) for Sorokin?"

The odds of this proposal coming true are very low as the Islanders would not likely give up their "cornerstone" goaltender for a consistent playoff underperformer, Mitch Marner. The is what Nick Alberga had to say about the trade,
Another idea has Marner being sent to Utah in exchange for Clayton Keller. This is a very interesting proposal as the Leafs top six forward lineup is abundant with left handed skaters. This trade is likely declined by the Leafs as Marner is a valuable two-way forward who is also a right handed shot. Keller has been tested in the Stanley Cup Playoffs once in his career and he has proven to be solid posting 7 points in 9 games in the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs, so this could prove to be valuable to the Leafs is the trade is offered.
This is what X user, Greg Wyshynski, proposed for Marner to Utah:

"A very smart hockey person put this in my head recently and I think this is the perfect time to float it:

To Utah: Mitch Marner

To Toronto: Clayton Keller"
