MOCK TRADE: Mitch Marner Heads to the Metropolitan Division

Mitch Marner has now been brought up in potential trade talks with a mock trade that would send him to the New York Rangers.

The mock trade looks like this:

The trade would save the Leafs $1.33 million in cap hit will giving them more depth and strength on defense.

They also get former lottery pick Kaapo Kakko who has struggled in the Rangers system to develop to his potential.

For the Rangers it saves them from having to re-sign Kakko and Lindgren next offseason as well as they get NHL superstar Mitch Marner added to the roster.
