Murray Placed On LTIR

Today, it was announced that the Toronto Maple Leafs will be placing Matt Murray on the LTIR.

This comes after Murray struggled with injuries all of last year affecting his play. Throughout 26 games, the goaltender registered a .903 sv% and a 3.01 GAA.
Being on LTIR, he will likely miss the entirety of the 2023-24 season and will have his contract with the Maple Leafs expire. This move will save the Leafs over $4 million in valuable cap dollars.
