Flyers Fighter Gets Kicked Out for Attempting to Injure Hughes

Last night saw the New Jersey Devils take on the Philidelphia Flyers, and things got ugly. The rivalry lived up to its name when Garnet Hathaway laid a dirty hit on Luke Hughes, and was immediately ejected.

Take a look at the hit below.

While the hit wasn't necessarily the dirtiest it could have been, there is clearly some intent to lay the body on a somewhat vulnerable Hughes.

After being evaluated, Hughes would eventually return to the game to help his Devils earn a victory 4-3 over the Flyers, with a goal for himself.
