With playoff season just around the corner, the trade deadline is fast approaching, and team leadership is starting to make tough decisions about their lineup. One goaltender is now getting more attention, as insider information revealed his interest in a new home.

Fleury Reveals Shocking Wishes Of Potential Trade

Today, NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun revealed shocking information on Minnesota goaltender Marc Andre-Fleury. Currently on a no-trade clause, he said he would waive it to be traded to one team in particular: the Toronto Maple Leafs.
"RUMORS:

According to reports G Mark Andre-Fleury would be open to considering a trade to the Leafs.

#Leafs #LeafsForever"
Although no information nor response has come out regarding this matter from the leadership at Toronto, Fleury could be a good investment for their team. This could also put money on the table for Minnesota to improve their lineup should they not make the playoffs.

Will The Wild Keep Fleury?

Over the course of this season, it seems Minnesota has been pretty adamant about keeping Fleury on their roster. Yet, rumors about his potential trade have been picking up speed.
The Wild are currently 20th in the league overall, and their chances of a shot in the playoff are fading quickly. Meanwhile, Toronto is 10th in the league but struggling to maintain its position without a solid goaltender. This trade could be the chance for Toronto to become a real competitor in the playoffs, but only if Minnesota is willing to take the chance on building a better team for next season.

🏒 The longer the #mnwild stay in the playoffs race, the less likely they will trade Marc-André Fleury.

🏒 Because they will need him more and more to attempt to make the playoffs."
The trade deadline is March 8th, leaving very little time for Minnesota and Toronto to talk over this offer. If Fleury is serious about this trade suggestion, it might now be on him to get the ball rolling.
