The Winnipeg Jets summer has been a quiet one since their early blockbuster, and now, as the team returns to the ice, we see just how much of an impact that deal will have on the team.
Early in the summer, Winnipeg flipped forward Pierre-Luc Dubois to Los Angeles for Gabe Vilardi, Laurent Brossoit and Alex Iafallo, and now, it appears they're blending in well with their new team.
The deal comes after PLD was acquired in the surprising move with Columbus, sending Patrick Laine south of the border, and after all that, it appears the Jets have accumulated some very talented young players.
In a recent interview with Jets leader Adam Lowry, he was full of praise for the new faces on the team, seemingly not lamenting the deal that the Jets made a few months ago.
The Jets may not have the talent of other contenders, but in a wide open Western Conference, if these young names can step up, they'll be a very tough team to beat, and if they end up moving two of their veteran names (Scheifele and Hellebuyck), they'll be collecting even more young talent.
