The Florida Panthers had their impressive five game winning streak snapped on Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings, but now, ahead of the second night of a back-to-back, they'll be eyeing off two major additions to the lineup.
Two key defenseman could return for the Florida Panthers
According to a report, the Panthers could be getting both Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour back into their lineup, as they have both missed the entirety of the season to this point.
"We might get a couple players back in our lineup that would excite the group," head coach Paul Maurice said. "And you need a little jolt on a back-to-back."
A massive boost for a team that's already excelled in 2023-24
Even without those two in the lineup, the Panthers have excelled behind a career best start from Sam Reinhart, along with Barkov, Tkachuk and the rest of their forward group contributing at a very, very high level.
Now, with Sergei Bobrovsky firing as well, the team will get a much needed boost on their blue line, and if Montour and Ekblad can get back to their best, this is a team that may go on a major run heading into December.
