Connor McDavid expected to miss yet another game

The already clinched Edmonton Oilers will be without their captain Connor McDavid for a third straight game in what is deemed a crucial matchup to potentially snag the first place position in the pacific division.

In a pre game availability, the Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch said that Connor McDavid will be unavailable tonight versus the surging Vancouver Canucks.





Keep in mind, Connor McDavid is 1 assist away from being the first player in the modern era to record 100 assists. It remains unknown whether the Oilers will shut him down for the rest of the season as they head into the playoffs.

McDavid, has 130 points in 74 games , an impressive run considering a slow start.

Nikita Kucherov, the league leader in points currently has 98 assists, trailing just one behind Connor McDavid as the duo aims to hit 100.
