A former Edmonton Oiler spent last year in Switzerland and is looking to make an NHL comeback.

Ennis Attempting A Return

Oiler's reporter Jim Matheson recently revealed some major information regarding former Edmonton Oiler Tyler Ennis.

Tyler Ennis was at Perry Pearn's 3on3 camp and hearing he might get PTO, maybe from Western based team. Still has irons in fire back in Switzerland where he played last season. - Jim Matheson

Ennis previously played with the Oilers from 2019-2021 where he got into 39 games scoring 5 goals and 13 points for the Oilers.

Ennis' Career

While his production with the Oilers was subpar, he is not a bad player at all. He had numerous 50-point pace seasons with the Sabres and was originally a 1st round pick of theirs.

He also posted 24 points in 57 games with the Senators in his most recent NHL season which is a solid pace worthy of an NHL role.

He spent the past season with SC Bern of the Swiss NLA where he scored 33 points in 37 games. Now, he is looking for a PTO somewhere so he can impress an NHL team and eventually earn a contract.
