Oilers Lose Head Coach During Game After Major Outburst

They absolutely needed that win, but came up short.

In the last minutes of the third period, with the Oilers trailing 5-2, head coach Jay Woodcroft couldn't contain his frustration and lost it at the referees. It didn't take long before the refs decided to eject him.

Things aren't going according to the plan in Edmonton. Woodcroft must start to feel the heat, as rumours of his firing are spreading.

The Oilers are now seventh in the Pacific Division, with a 2-8-1 record.
