Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have been fantastic through the regular season in their tenure with the Oilers, but at this point, their playoff success doesn't match that, leaving some to believe they could want out at some point.
Last season alone, these two combined for 281 points, and with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scoring 104 of his own, many believed they would be bound for the Stanley Cup Finals.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and after another failure, many have suggested that when their contracts are up in Edmonton, both could look to leave on big money deals.
While nothing will be official until pen gets put to paper, this is a good sign that both want to be with the Oilers for a long-time, and with so much talent being stacked in the Eastern Conference this summer, now may be their best chance to make a genuine Cup run.
