Evander Kane's future in Edmonton in jeopardy as Oilers Head Coach Set to Send a Strong Message
Oilers to Go All In: Winning Now is the Priority
At the start of the season, the Oilers found themselves in less-than-ideal position in the standings. However, a recent eight-game winning streak has injected new hope into their season. Nevertheless, every game remains important to keep the team in the playoff race.
Head Coach Kris Knoblauch must be prepared to take any necessary steps to win every night, even if it involves making tough decisions.
Just recently, Connor Brown was left out of the lineup due to his struggles early in the season.
Now, speculation is growing in Edmonton that Evander Kane could be the next player to be a healthy scratch.
Oilers to Bench Kane Amid Slump?
In recent weeks, Kane has been absent from practices frequently due to a lingering injury that is clearly impacting his performance. Kane has only managed to tally 2 points in his last eight games and appears noticeably less dynamic than his usual power-forward self.
If Kane fails to return to his typical form in terms of both his play and production, Knoblauch should not hesitate to send a strong message by considering him for a healthy scratch.
