Forward and superstar Corey Perry, formerly of the Chicago Blackhawks, where he was involved in a scandal with the team, has been cleared by the NHL to sign with any team he desires as a free agent. Hearing from sources, Perry's likely destination will be the Edmonton Oilers, and where he fits into the roster is a huge achievement for the club/organization. His ability to physically play the game and score is a truly talented ability he has in his arsenal.

He is a great leader in the locker room and knows how to play the game and get under the skin of his opponents.

Why Corey Perry will choose the Edmonton Oilers
The Edmonton Oilers is a team that needs a bottom-six defensive forward. Perry's gameplay and tenacity on-ice would benefit the team's success and have a huge implication on where the Oilers team will be heading. Corey Perry's presence is regarded as intimidating and his becoming an Edmonton Oiler makes sense for everybody involved. The dedication and leadership he brings will indeed make it the perfect fit for the club to pursue and sign at this stage of the season.
For the Edmonton Oilers and Corey Perry, the match is sweeter than sugar and would increase Edmonton's chances of making the post-season and going deep into the playoffs. Both Perry and the Oilers will benefit from a run to the Cup, where Edmonton will be considered a serious contender for the Cup and perhaps give Corey Perry his second championship after losing 3 straight with other teams that managed to make it to the finals.
