In a recent interview, Brad Marchand spoke about the best players in the NHL. During this interview, Marchand threw a major diss toward Connor McDavid.

Marchand Disses McDavid With Controversial Opinion

Connor McDavid by many accounts is the best player in the NHL right now. This is an opinion that has been considered a fact by many for several years now.

However, in a new interview, Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand does not feel this is the case. He believes that Sidney Crosby is still the top player in the league.




This opinion shared by Marchand has sent hockey fans into a frenzy of debate. Crosby continues to have excellent seasons however he is not scoring at the pace that McDavid is.

While Marchand would say that his comments were mostly directed at the hype given to guys like Connor Bedard he still did call out Connor McDavid.

In a down year for McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers McDavid still finds himself near the top of NHL scoring lists. With 53 points this season, McDavid sits tied for third in the NHL. He is still significantly behind Nathan MacKinnon and Nikita Kucherov tied at 64 points.



Meanwhile, Sidney Crosby only sits at 41 points in his 37 games played this season. This gives McDavid a clear advantage offensively. Defensively this season both teams have struggled to keep the puck out of their own net.

While there is no concrete way to settle this debate for all fans Connor McDavid has the advantage at least as far as stats and more importantly winning is concerned.
