The NHL has decided to lay the hammer down on an Oilers forward after a nasty elbow on an opponent.

Today NHL Player Safety has announced that Adam Erne has been fined the maximum allowable amount under the CBA for an elbow on Seattle Kraken player Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.
adam erne, penalized for this elbow on pierre-edouard bellemare, is probably going to be getting a call from the nhl tomorrow.

Edmonton's Adam Erne has been fined $2,018.23, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Elbowing Seattle's Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.

Erne was able to escape a suspension but his pockets will feel a little lighter today. This will also set up a lot of tension when the Oilers and Kraken next meet.
