Kassian Returns In The Czech League

It was just announced that Zack Kassian is coming out of retirement.

Just months after retiring from professional hockey, Zack Kassian has come out of retirement to sign with HC Sparta Praha (ELH) 🇨🇿 — joining the seventh-best hockey league in the world according to our global league rankings (pinned on our profile).

Kassian, 33, has two goals, two points through 51 games played with the Arizona Coyotes (NHL) 🇺🇸 last season. He signed a professional tryout with the Anaheim Ducks (NHL) 🇺🇸 during preseason, but failed to make the team and was cut.

This will be his first stint overseas in his professional career.

Kassian played in 7 seasons with the Edmonton Oilers having his most successful year in 2019-20 where he had 15 goals and 34 points. He will now look to dominate in the Czech league and then maybe return to the NHL one day.
