Patrick Kane has made it clear that he does not see himself retiring from professional hockey until the age of 40. This has opened many doors for him to seek out a long term deal from a team that could have success within the near future. A front runner for a deal with Kane is the Chicago Blackhawks. They have the cap space to give a fair deal to the veteran forward and they can also have a good timeline for success.
The Blackhawks are lead by youngsters Connor Bedard, Kevin Korchinski, and Phillip Kurashev. This also does not take away from their veteran presence in Seth Jones and Nick Foligno who were great for the development of bot Bedard and Korchinski.
On the other hand, his comeback would kickstart another push for a Stanley Cup in Chicago, where they are still in the early stages of a rebuild. The team would have to turn the recent slump around and put together a great push in the playoffs. That being said if the star forward wanted to make his return, the stars have aligned and there is definitely a possibility for the return of Patrick Kane on the Blackhawks.
