Earlier this season, the Chicago Blackhawks terminated the contract of veteran forward Corey Perry, with the player filing a grievance about the situation.
Now, it has officially been revealed that the NHLPA and the NHL/Chicago Blackhawks have come to an agreement on a settlement, meaning that no official grievance was to be filed by Perry.
It's still never been made clear exactly what the issue was with Perry in Chicago that led to the termination, but with this settlement, both parties can now move on with Perry in Edmonton looking to chase a Stanley Cup, while the Blackhawks focus on building around Connor Bedard.
