The Chicago Blackhawks are going through a little bit of a hangover at this point in the season, with the Bedard hype dying down and him out of the lineup with an injury. With other injuries to the team, NHL insider Mark Lazerus has suggested that the Chicago Blackhawks make calls to these three free agents.
Obviously, the Blackhawks aren't rumoured to be looking at any of these players specifically, and this is just a joking suggestion by Lazerus. However, he does make a point that each of the three above would make for some entertaining hockey in Chicago.
While the above was meant mostly as a joke, Chicago should maybe consider taking the first suggestion seriously. Phil Kessel is itching to return to the NHL, so he could be cheap at this point, and would be a great depth addition to the team that needs players given their injury status.
