Connor Bedard's first five NHL games came on the road against some pretty daunting oppositions, but now, he's finally made it home, and he's already made his mark in Chicago.

A first period to remember

Before the game against the Vegas Golden Knights even settled in, the Blackhawks were on a powerplay, and less than 2 minutes into his home debut, Bedard ripped home this absolute beauty.

Bedard took a nice pass and with his beautiful release that was lauded as one of the best in the NHL before he even stepped on the ice, he beat goaltender Adin Hill, giving Bedard his second career goal and first in front of his adoring fans in the Windy City.

A great career start continues

With his sixth game still ongoing, Bedard now has 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points in his career, and with the lack of elite level talent around him, it's a fantastic start for a much hyped rookie.

There's still plenty of time to go in his rookie year for him to fail or succeed, but thus far, all signs are pointing to a young star in the making, and this latest goal is the perfect example of that.
