Don't try to hold this guy down. Just 10 days after breaking his jaw and having surgery on it, Connor Bedard is ready to get back on the ice.

Major Update on Connor Bedard's Debilitating Jaw Injury

According to Blackhawks reporter Ben Pope, Bedard is back on the ice today in a non-contact jersey and full fishbowl.

"Connor Bedard cannot be kept off the ice for long.

Just seven days after surgery, he's skating with Nick Foligno and Samuel Savoie after Blackhawks practice, just wearing a full cage."

Bedard is itching to get back into the game so badly that veteran Nick Foligno said that trainers have asked him for help to keep Bedard from have any setbacks.

"He's dying. It's pretty funny; the trainers were like, 'Hey, you kind of got to help us, he's not going to listen to us, so you've got to help us keep him at bay here a little bit.' So, it's been pretty funny."

"He's like, 'I feel fine.' I'm like, 'Man, just pump the brakes a little bit.' But that's who he is. That's why you love him, and I'm sure he'll come back an even better version of himself, which is a scary thought." - Nick Foligno, NHL.com

Bedard Takes Massive Step in Combeack from Injury

Bedard's injury was a real low point for the league as it was looking forward to having the rookie at the upcoming All-Star weekend to shows off his skills and, hopefully, bring new fans into the fold. Perhaps there's an opportunity for him to compete in the skills competition in the old fishbowl helmet. We'll have to wait and see.
