Last night Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery went viral online for a set of actions meant to mock the referees officiating Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Boston Bruins were without their captain Brad Marchand last night after he suffered an injury in Game 3. In addition to the absence of one of their stars Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery felt the Panthers were getting away with diving to draw penalties, especially after a penalty his player Mason Lohrei was given.
In response to the diving from the Florida Panthers, Jim Montgomery decided to bring it to the referees' attention. To do so he hilariously acted out the Panthers players taking dives in an overdramatic way.
Jim Montgomery had some thoughts about Mason Lohrei's penalty.

The gestures and motions done by Jim Montgomery took on a life of their own on social media. Immediately a ton of memes were created around the situation.

Despite the frustration that created the viral moment the Boston Bruins ended up having a successful day. They would go on to win Game 5 by a score of 3-2 with goals from Morgan Geekie and Charlie McAvoy. They will now have a chance to tie up the series in Game 6.
