As reported by Chris Johnston, The Bruins have made Brad Marchand the next captain, filling the role left by Patrice Bergeron's retirement.

This was reported after the Bruins organization hinted that an announcement was coming soon regarding the captain position.
Marchand is a safe pick for captain of the club, having played his entire career there and being a fan favourite of the City. It's likely his veteran status already brought with it a lot of leadership in the Bruin's lockerroom, and now it is official.
