The Arizona Coyotes have officially disbanded, at least for now. In the first hours since their replacement was announced in the Utah NHL club, they already outshined the Coyotes with season ticket holders.

The Coyotes organization has dealt with a lot over the past few months. Perhaps no one has felt that more than the players themselves as well as their fans. However, some may take some solace in the fact that there is finally some closure for the team. The NHL made the official announcement earlier today, closing the book on this chapter of the Coyotes.
The New team will play in Salt Lake City's Delta Arena. New owner Ryan Smith showed progress on the building being transformed into a hockey arena today.

He also gave us updates on how season ticket sales have gone. They went on sale immediately after the announcement was made, with over 6000 sales being completed in just the first couple of hours. Smith later updated that total, indicating that the team had secured over 11,000 season ticket holders for their inaugural season.
Wow! Over 6,000 season tickets deposits in first 2 hours👀.
Utah is amazing!

11,000 and counting Utah shows up!

For reference, that is more than double the capacity of the Coyotes' former home, Mullett arena, an NCAA building that they were sharing with Arizona State University. It seems as though the new team will be more successful than the Coyotes then, at least when it comes to gate revenue.
