We now know what Trevor Zegras' future in Anaheim looks like.

Insider Leaks Zegras' Intentions

Back in 2019, the Anaheim Ducks selected Trevor Zegras 9th overall. Since this selection, Zegras has gone on to prove himself as one of the most exciting young players in the NHL.

Coming off of a 65-point season on an abysmal Ducks roster, Zegras will be looking to take the next step.

Recently, insider Frank Seravalli leaked what Zegras will be doing with the Ducks.

"The more likely outcome at this point is that the Ducks and star forward Trevor Zegras will agree to a short- to mid-term bridge deal.

Zegras' market value for a long-term deal is estimated around $8M AAV. If this figure doesn't work for either side, a short-term agreement would probably be around $5M AAV." - Frank Seravalli

Short Term Over Long Term?

For a player as skilled as Zegras, the sky is truly the limit as to what he could do in the NHL. A bridge deal would be beneficial to both the player and the team as it gives the Ducks three more years of seeing what Zegras can do and how much more he could develop.

With any human highlight reel like Zegras, it is always best to wait and see if it is all flash or if he is much more than just being creative.
