NHL Insider Reveals Bruce Boudreau's Next Coaching Opportunity

The Spengler Cup is an annual invite-only international tournament hosted by HC Davos in Switzerland. This year, Canada has been invited and it now appears as though Bruce Boudreau may be the team's head coach.

This could be an indication that the 65-year-old is not done with the NHL. If he is actively seeking out coaching roles he could be attempting to use them as auditions for NHL clubs that may be looking to replace their coach sometime later this season or perhaps in the offseason.

Boudreau most recently accepted an advisory position with the Niagara Ice Dogs of the OHL where he has been working with his son, who is an associate coach for the organization.

Boudreau is not just a loveable guy, he's also a very effective coach. Among all head coaches with at least 1000 games coached, Boudreau is second all-time in points percentage with .626, only behind Scott Bowman. If he is looking to rejoin the NHL, there is little doubt that some team will be willing to give him a chance.
