After three solid years with the Winnipeg Jets, defenseman Logan Stanley signed a one-year, $1 million deal this summer, and now, he's opened up in his latest interview with NHL.com.

Happy to be back

After playing just 19 games a season ago due to several injuries, Stanley has opened up on how happy he was to return to the Jets, the only NHL team he's known thus far.
I'm happy with how it went. We had talked a little bit about some other options but at the end of the day, I think the one-year deal is good for the Jets and also good for me.

I'm definitely happy that it's done with and can just focus on training camp and going out and playing.

The 25-year old has shown plenty of potential over that time, but unfortunately, those injuries have held him back thus far, but he's hoping 2022-23 can be a major bounce back season.

Excitement about the future

With Blake Wheeler and Pierre-Luc Dubois gone, it feels like a fresh start in Winnipeg, and Stanley has expressed just how excited he is about the potential opportunities moving forward.
I'm definitely looking forward to a clean slate going into training camp with fresh minds and just trying to show them who I am and who I can be.

Things will no doubt be different in Winnipeg this year with a younger, faster team looking to compete in the wide open Western Conference, and if Stanley can step up and be healthy, we may be looking at an emerging young face for the Jets as they look for a deep playoff run.
