Maxwell Passes Away



We're saddened to report that former Toronto Maple Leaf and All-Star, Brad Maxwell, has passed away after losing his battle with lung cancer. This news has left the hockey world in mourning as we remember the legacy of this true hockey icon.




Brad Maxwell's family expressed their gratitude for the support they've received during this tough time. They shared this message through GoFundMe:

"We want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to us during this difficult time. It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Brad «Maxy» Maxwell on September 3rd, 2023. Those who knew him were truly lucky, and he will be deeply missed. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers,"

Brad Maxwell enjoyed a ten-year career in the NHL, mostly with the Minnesota North Stars. He also played for the Nordiques, Leafs, Canucks, and Rangers. During his one-year stint with the Leafs in the 1985-86 season, he played 52 games and scored 26 points.
