The Toronto Maple Leafs haven't made it past the second round in decades now, and this summer, they've added some muscle to help them do so in the 2023-24 season.
That would be veteran Ryan Reaves, who has made himself one of the most physical and intimidating players in the entire NHL, and he's still proven to be an effective player on the ice.
While the league is moving towards a more skilled, fast game, players like Reaves have still managed to be effective, and now, he's looking to make himself beloved in the Maple Leafs market.
Last playoff run, the Leafs were eliminated by the Panthers in the second round, and for many Leafs fans, it was highlighted by Radko Gudas screaming in the face of young goaltender Joseph Woll.
Now, Reaves has thrown down the gauntlet, challenging players like Gudas to try that again, and with a talented forward group beyond Reaves, he's exactly the physical presence they need.
