Evander Kane's future in the Edmonton Oilers' organization could be in jeopardy according to the insider Frank Seravalli.

In light of recent incidents in the locker room, and Kane's reputation, Seravalli believes that the player is wearing out his welcome in Edmonton.

Frank Seravalli thinks that Evander Kane's future with the Oilers is at risk.

In a recent podcast episode, Frank Seravalli shared his thoughts on Evander Kane, how his reputation precedes him, and how he fails to do what he was brought for: making sure to bring a physical presence on the ice when the other team rough things up.
He started by mentioning how Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl were pushed around during last Saturday night's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs:
"What I didn't like on Saturday night... [Connor] McDavid and Draisaitl got pushed around. If I was [in] the Oilers organization I would not have liked how McDavid and Draisaitl were treated in Toronto. There's nothing wrong with what the Maple Leafs did to them - they should try and rough them up - but it's on yourselves to protect them."
Here's what Seravalli said concerning Kane's reputation of being a toxic player in the locker room, and how his journey in Edmonton could end soon:
"His act is wearing thin. It's a tale as old as time. He starts off really well in any new place that he goes to and it's like a coach the clock begins to tick. At some point the Oilers were probably have to address it before his contract is up. It may or may not be as soon as this summer, but he wears out his welcome."
With two years remaining on his $5,125,000 AAV deal, it'll be interesting to see how the Oilers navigate this situation.
More to come.
