Surprising Video Has Fans Worried for Bedard's Future

Connor Bedard has been touted as the next great player for the NHL, and a face of the franchise. While he has lived up to expectations offensively, scoring 7 points in 11 games, he hasn't quite hit his stride defensively in the NHL.

Bedard is currently sitting at a -8 despite his point production. While it isn't always useful to look at +/- as an indicator, it's clear that Bedard has struggled on the defensive end.

Bedard is still getting used to playing in the NHL, and because of this, he has some bad giveaways in unfortunate circumstances. He is still learning exactly what he can and can't get away with in the NHL that he could in Junior hockey. However, this worries some fans, as they think he is being too fancy, and that is leading to poor defensive play.

Bedard still has a lot of development to go, and Blackhawks fans should be happy that they are already getting an incredible talent who is clearly dedicated to improving his craft.
