BREAKING: Gary Bettman Fines Leo Carlsson Thousands

Tonight, Leo Carlsson will be getting into his first NHL game which means he went out for the traditional rookie lap.

However, he did so without a helmet which is a violation of NHL rules and results in a $2,500 fine.

Carlsson and teammate Tristan Luneau both went out without helmets and both of whom will be fined.

Despite all of this, the common speculation is that the teams are fronting these fines so that their rookies can have the same rookie lap every other veteran got.
