Mike Babcock resigned earlier today amidst the scandal with Columbus Blue Jackets players. He had been under investigation for the last several days. Now new information has been revealed about what the investigation uncovered.

Babcock Investigated For Disturbing Accusations

After a segment on Spittin Chiclets led by Paul Bissonnette the entire internet was set on fire. Biz accused Mike Babcock of looking through players' phones and making players feel uncomfortable.

This led to a statement from Mike Babcock denying the allegations along with Captain Boone Jenner.

Then after things had started to quiet down the NHLPA announced they would be launching an investigation into Babcock. The findings of that investigation would end in Babcock's resignation and the promotion of Pascal Vincent to head coach.

Disturbing Details Emerge Revealing What Babcock Did

Since his firing sources have revealed the details of the investigation. The details include what happened and what made players feel the most uncomfortable.

Mike Babcock went through young Blue Jackets players phones for �several minutes', away from any team facility and without management's knowledge.

The players privately expressed their discomfort afterwards. Babcock analyzed their photos, scrolling through several different apps and messages for quite some time.

In his initial statement, Babcock said it was voluntary but it is now widely reported that it was not, and players took turns getting their phones examined by him.

Babcock stepped down as head coach today.

These disturbing results led to the Columbus Blue Jackets parting ways with Babcock. While he and the organization said that Babcock had learned and grown this was clearly not the case.

Hopefully, this will be a lesson to NHL teams going forward to do their homework on coaches and players and the people they truly are.
