Clash Between Patrick Roy and Isles GM Lou Lamoriello Already?

On the first day of this new job with the New York Islanders, we learned that NHL legend Patrick Roy had to comply to Lou Lamoriello's regime.

When he was hired as the Islanders' head coach, Roy was forced to do the same thing as everyone of the organization: get a fresh shave and a hair cut.

After years of wearing a beard, Patrick Roy showed off a newly shaven look Sunday in line with the grooming code set forth by Lamoriello. Roy admitted that it wasn't easy.

It surprised everyone when he fired former head coach Lane Lambert and hired just as fresh Patrick Roy from NHL coaching.

The combo of Roy and Lamoriello, two men with dramatically different personalities, will surely bring the team to an interesting position in a near future. The experienced general manager of the Islanders is obviously hoping that this pairing will bring success to the organization.
