According to insider Frank Seravalli, Connor Bedard has undergone surgery to repair his fractured jaw.

Bedard is expected to miss approximately 6-8 weeks, meaning #Blackhawks will unfortunately need an injury replacement at #NHLAllStar.

This news comes after Bedard was removed from a game against the New Jersey Devils after receiving a hit to the face from Brendan Smith. It was originally reported that he would miss some time, but surgery was not a part of the original plan for the Blackhawks.
A replacement will need to be picked to fill Bedard's spot at the upcoming All-Star game in Toronto.
