Rick Bowness and the Winnipeg Jets recently announced he would be taking a leave of absence. Now one of the Jets best players has commented on Bowness being away from the team.

Scheifele Speaks About Bowness

The Jets announced on Monday that Rick Bowness would be away from the team after his wife had a seizure on Sunday night. Yesterday Mark Scheifele was asked about Rick Bowness and the situation with his wife's health.
«It's scary, obviously. All we can do is hope and pray for them (until) obviously they figure it out and get her healthy again. That's all we can do is pray for them and their family and wish them the best.»

Scheifele puts into perspective how to deal with things like this while still focusing on hockey.
«First and foremost, they're amazing human beings and that always comes first,» Scheifele said. «Obviously, it's a hockey game, but they're amazing people, amazing human beings, and all you can do is keep praying for them. But they are two amazing people.»

Along with Scheifele several other members of the Winnipeg Jets organization commented on Bowness' situation.

Jets Support Bowness During Tough Time

The Winnipeg Jets universally supported Rick Bowness during their most recent media availability. Interim head coach Scott Arniel was one of the first to give a statement.
«Our thoughts and prayers go out to Judy and Rick,» associate head coach Scott Arniel, who will take over Bowness's duties in the interim, said. «Very serious and tough time for them right now. We're just waiting, day to day with this and see how she progresses and see how Rick's doing. Everybody is certainly feeling it. It's family here. It's part of what we talk about all of the time.

«It really hits everyone hard.»

Josh Morrissey another one of the Jets leaders also commented.
«Just thinking about Judy and Bones and their whole family,» «Just kind of waiting to hear as we get more information. Certainly big news this morning. It's difficult when a member of our family here goes through something like that. Just praying for Judy and the family and doing our best here at the rink to do what we need to do for Bones.»

The Jets stand fully behind Rick Bowness and are hoping for a swift return from him. In the mean time the focus is on the Bowness family and their well being.
