Earlier today, it was revealed that Kyle Connor is likely to make his return for the first time in over a month, but unfortunately, that news coincides with a bad break for these Winnipeg Jets.
After a fantastic start to the season, Jets veteran Mark Scheifele has now officially been placed on Injured Reserve, after being considered day-to-day for the past few days.
The move will be retroactive to January 12, and while he's not expected to be out for an extended time, this just further reinforces the idea that the Jets need more depth down the middle.
In 2023-24, Scheifele has once again been fantastic, tallying 14 goals and 41 points in 41 games, and if the Jets are to go deep into the playoffs, they'll be hoping that he can stay healthy all season long.
