Former Capitals defenseman Madison Bowey close to signing one-year deal with KHL's Dinamo Minsk
Bowey was born and raised in Winnipeg, a city so close to his heart that he brought the Stanley Cup to the city during his day with the cup.
He has played 158 career NHL games with the Capitals, Red Wings, Blackhawks, and Canucks. He has 5 goals and 40 points in that time. Bowey signed a one-year deal with the Canadiens last year but never got into a game for them.
He will now take his talents overseas and try to establish himself as a player who could be a valuable defender for any NHL team.
